Outward Missions
Two key objectives of TVET UK are to:
- raise the profile of the UK TVET sector among international governments and national agencies charged with developing and implementing TVET systems and policy.
- provide opportunies for TVET UK members to make contact with key decision makers from markets around the world.
To achieve this, TVET UK is well positioned to draw on the extensive network of UKTI Commercial Officers based in British Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates around the world who are in frequent contact with senior officials in ministry departments, national agencies and the private and public TVET sector.
TVET UK will be managing a number of outward trade missions, seminar speaking slots, scoping opportunities and attendance at overseas exhibitions for TVET members during 2008. These will give TVET UK members the opportunity to:
- represent and promote the UK TVET sector
- market products and services
- build relationships
- develop institute/organisation partnerships
- source agents
- recruit students
- enter into join venture arrangements
A number of outward missions are planned for 2008 to targetted markets such as South Africa, Hong Kong, China, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Malaysia.
